 Kenyan poet Dominion (Moses Kiptoo,) emerged 2nd in the just concluded World Poetry slam Championships held in Mexico. Crowned the 66th Slam King in the 2024/25 local Poetry Slam festival, Dominion would unleash his might on the world stage to emerge 2nd with a score 59.7/60 just 0.1 points behind the 2025 champion King Yaw of Ghana. KENYAN ARTIST BRINGS THE FUTURE IN THE PAST IN THE CURRENT EXHIBITION

  The artist has grown from using the human torso to express the interaction of the sub conscious with the environment to using abstract energies on canvas, sound and installation in his quest to speak about the blend between the human spirit and that which hovers in the immediate environment. THE 2026 SLAM FESTIVAL ELEVATED KENYA'S PERFORMANCE SCENE TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

  In what turned out to be a night of celebration, anger and bravado, the Slam Africa Poetry Festival would reveal that it had not lost its touch. Since its inception, the poetry showcase has shown its inclusivity by bringing on board other nationalities to participate in Slam poetry competition in the Kenya’s capital Nairobi.
